Go Happy Cup -- Playing Go Is So Fun!

The Tenth Sunflower Happy Cup Youth Go Tournament (2017)

Entry Requirement

All youth players 19 years of age or younger are eligible.

Date and Time

October 1, 2017 (Sunday), 1:30PM -- 5:30PM. There is an ice cream party at the end for all players and their families.

Registration Fee

Registration fee is $18/player.

Tournament Organization

Players will be separated into several divisions based on their strength. Each player only plays with players in the same division. Division A will play 4 games. Other divisions will play 5 games.

Rules

13x13 board with 5.5 komi for beginners, 19x19 board with 7.5 komi for other players, AGA rule. No handicaps except division A.

Time Limit

20 minutes main time and 20 seconds Byo-yomi.

We may slightly change the time limit during the tournament to fit the schedule.

Prizes and Trophies

Prizes are awarded for playing games. Every player gets a trophy, win or lose.

How to Register

Please fill the registration form to register online, and pay the registration fee by check (instructions available after registration). We have limited capacity for the tournament and will close registration once we reach our maximum capacity. We also need enough time to order the right numer of trophies for every child attending. So registration will be closed on September 24, 2017 (Saturday). Register early before the spaces are taken!
